All prices on this site are quoted in British pounds sterling. Payments must be made in British pounds sterling.
Payment for your order can be by cheque (by post) or by Paypal using either your Paypal account or your chosen credit or debit card. A minimum order value of £5.00 is currently in place.
All the personal information you supply at the payment page (including credit/debit card numbers) is encrypted and is not held on a computer by The Spice of Life.
We do not receive your credit/debit card details from Paypal, only notification that your payment has passed or failed.

The Spice Of Life believes that trust is an important component of the service we provide to our customers. To ensure that we keep that trust, we make every effort to protect your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information.

We hope you will be highly satisfied with any product purchased from our website but if you wish to return an item to us then we aim to make it as quick and convenient as possible. Please contact us by phone or email in the first instance so we can ascertain a way forward.
Should a Product be damaged in delivery we offer a replacement or full refund. Notification can be by telephone, post or email within 7 working days from the day after the receipt of the goods.
Incorrect Goods Delivered
On the rare occasions this happens we offer a refund or replacement of the incorrect goods in question. Notification must be given to us by telephone or email within 7 working days from the day after the receipt of the goods.
Cancelling your Order
For your complete peace of mind, you may cancel your order within 7 working days from the day after the receipt of the goods for any reason. A refund excluding return postage & packaging will be given.
NB Please note that, as our goods are perishable merchandise, we cannot accept the return of items which have been opened and used for example if the goods seal is broken. Failure to return cancelled goods may result in collection costs. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Any cancelled order will be refunded to the original payment source within 30 days of notification.

UK Mainland Shipping
For your convenience, we charge a flat rate delivery charge, no matter how many products you order. There are no hidden charges and our policy is to achieve the lowest possible delivery cost, for our customers. We constantly review our delivery charges to ensure that you receive a reliable and cost effective service.
We aim to dispatch items within 24 hours of an order being placed; items normally arrive within 2-5 business days, for UK mainland orders. However, international orders affect delivery times. If your items do not arrive within a few days please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com. If you select Express Shipping on checkout we will post FIRST CLASS mail
We try to send our product to as many countries as possible, but due to the high cost of shipping please check if we will be able to deliver to you before paying for the goods firstname.lastname@example.org We send all of our packages out as “gifts” so that you receive the maximum duty free exemption possible. It is not cost effective to ship a partial shipment; we will wait for a temporarily out-of-stock item to arrive in the warehouse before we ship your order.
In the event an order is refused for any reason when international delivery is attempted. the merchandise price and initial shipping costs will be refunded to credit card holder. Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery; it usually takes 1-2 days to clear customs.
We regret that we no longer ship to the following countries due to high fraud histories:
Belarus, Columbia, Egypt, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Nigeria, Romania, Russia and Taiwan.
We regret that we may not be able to ship to the following countries because of food import rules: United States, Australia, Latin America, South America, Africa, Israel, Turkey and Greece.
Most areas of the Middle East will not allow food parcels through customs.
A lot of countries may impose custom charges on receipt of goods from a foreign country. It is important that you make enquiries regarding your country’s regulations & fees with regards to additional charges you may be required pay in order to receive your order. This extra fee will be paid by the customer. It is advisable that you enquire before placing your order.
The Spice of Life retains the right to refuse any International order it deems unsuitable.

Spice of Life Industries Ltd supply a range of products whose origins are internationally sourced from approved suppliers.
The following allergens are regularly handled by Spice of Life Industries Ltd and its approved suppliers. Whilst our in-house handling procedures ensure the risk of cross contamination is reduced or eliminated, we cannot guarantee that trace amounts of these allergens may not have been present at some point in the blending and decanting process.

We will not accept responsibility for a failure to comply with specific care instructions stated in the product or within the product’s packaging.
Our liability for losses you suffer as a result of us breaking this agreement is strictly limited to the purchase price of the product you purchased.

We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from our website.
Events Outside Our Control
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”).
A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:
(a) strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action;

(f) the acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.
Our performance under any contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.
