Product Description

This is a medium spiced, slightly sweet curry. The finished dish has lots of thick sauce flavoured with mango, yoghurt and cream. If it’s too mild for you the heat can be adjusted using chopped fresh chillies.

Other ingredients you will require:
675g raw chicken (diced)
2 tablespoons natural yoghurt
3 tablespoons tomato puree
2 tablespoons mango chutney
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon sugar
2-3 tablespoons single cream
150ml water
2 tablespoons fresh coriander
1 fresh green chilli (optional)
Salt to taste

    Thanks to the ingredients such as sugar and mango chutney this produces an abundance of rich flavour. For those preferring a thicker sauce though would suggest using less water, which is what I will do next time.

    I’d never even heard of chashni curries, but will definitely have a go at this one again in future. It’s a medium sweet and sour curry, with ginger, coriander, cream, yoghurt and mango chutney – some of my favourite things! – so it really couldn’t fail

    This was a new Curry to me. Used the leftover Sunday chicken. Added a couple of deseeded green peppers to be on the safe side. Proved to be absolutely delicious. Really tasty.

    I had never tried a Chasni Curry before but it definitely won’t be the last time as it was gorgeous. I adapted it for my husband who is vegan, he loved it and preferred the Chasni to the takeaway curry we had from a local restaurant the week before.
