Tandoori chicken is probably one of the most popular dishes from the sub continent. The tandoor (clay oven), because of its fierce heat, enables meat to cook quickly thus it will form a light crust on the outside whilst leaving the inside moist and delicious.
You can achieve the charring look by putting under a high grill for a few minutes. This can be served as a starter or main course.
Other ingredients you will require:
1 kg chicken joints
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tspn salt
2-3 small cloves of garlic, chopped
1 green chilli
2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
75g thick set natural yoghurt
1 tablespoon tomato puree
The Spice Pack is included
Serves 3-4 people
N.B. This dish can also be served as a starter. Instead of using chicken joints use 3 or 4 chicken breasts and dice them. Ignore instruction no. 1 and follow the recipe as above but amend the cooking time to 10-12 minutes.
